Before attending the NATO Summit, President Yoon has warned that whether South Korea provides lethal weapons to Ukraine depends entirely on Russia.
This came during a written interview with Reuters on Monday where the President specified that Seoul’s decision will be based on how a new military pact between Moscow and Pyongyang plays out.
He said “Military co-operation between Russia and North Korea poses a distinct threat and grave challenge to the peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and in Europe.”
He also called North Korea a “menace to the international society,” and that he hopes Russia decides which side of the Peninsula is more helpful to its interests.
