[Weather] Monsoon rain lashes down on Jeolla-do and Gyeongsang-do into Wednesday


Good morning. Jeollabuk-do and Gyeongsang-do provinces are seeing 20 millimeters an hour of downpours this morning, rain could pick up to 50 millimeters an hour in the morning hours.
Heavy rain alerts are in place for those areas and concern is on the rise as Andong and Sangju in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province saw the most single-day rainfall yesterday and more rain will lash down to those regions. Meanwhile, rain clouds will expand to more parts of the country as the day goes on.
Many parts will see 30 to 80 millimeters of rainfall through tomorrow, and rain is forecast to come down hard overnight. Please stay safe!
Temperature-wise, heat advisories in southern provinces have been lifted except on Jeju with an expected high of 35 degrees. The rest of the country will see highs in the twenties this afternoon.
Central regions will get a break from monsoon rain in the latter half of the week!
