Some professors at Korea University Medical School announced they will go on an indefinite strike, beginning July 12th.
However, they, and non-striking professors, will continue to treat emergency admissions and patients in intensive care units.
On Monday, its emergency committee urged that the government take responsibility for the current medical dispute and fully withdraw its expansion of next year’s medical school admission quota.
Previously, professors at Severance Hospital began an indefinite strike on June 27th, while from Thursday, professors at Seoul Asan Hospital are scheduled to go on a week-long strike.
