S. Korea, U.S. chip lobby groups discuss ties in technology, supply chain


Over in Washington D.C.
Delegates from South Korea and the U.S. held a forum on chip cooperation.
Under the framework of the two countries’ Supply Chain and Commercial Dialogue the Semiconductor Forum came in light of an accord in April last year to enhance bilateral ties in the sector.
The forum was attended by Seoul’s Trade Minister Ahn Duk-geun and U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo as well as industry heavyweights including Samsung Electronics SK hynix Intel and IBM.
Also at the event the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association and the U.S. Semiconductor Industry Association inked an MOU to promote productive partnership.
