Korean instant noodles, or ramyeon, are becoming more popular around the world, through viral marketing on social media and the launch of new products.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced on Wednesday that exports of Korean instant noodles came to almost 600-million U.S. dollars in the first half of the year.
It’s around a 32-percent increase compared to the same period last year.
The biggest overseas markets are China and the United States, surpassing 100-million U.S. dollars each in exports last month.
