Israel has initiated a fresh offensive in Gaza City on Monday claiming the presence of Hamas facilities in the area.
Thousands of Palestinians fled following an evacuation warning with Israeli tanks re-entering central parts of the city.
Despite the warning ahead of the attacks Gaza’s Health Ministry says at least forty people were killed in the latest strikes.
A senior Hamas official warned that the new offensive could take ceasefire efforts back to “square one.”
