The Constitutional Court has urged for prompt appointments of new justices to fill its three vacancies.
Speaking at a regular briefing earlier on this Tuesday afternoon Deputy Press Officer Cheon Jaehyun revealed that the current six members of the Court are striving to handle a heavy workload amid a surge in the number of impeachment cases.
The Court also underscored the priority being placed on the impeachment trial of President Yoon Suk Yeol who has spoken of filing an injunction.
The Court however says it has yet to receive such a request.
