S. Korea’s industrial output falls for third straight month in November amid auto strikes

South Korea’s industrial production fell for the third consecutive month in November due to a slowdown in auto manufacturing.
Data from Statistics Korea on Monday showed industrial output fell by point-four percent in November compared to the previous month.
Manufacturing output fell due to strikes at auto companies, while output in the service sector also dropped.
Meanwhile, retail sales – a key gauge of private spending – surged by point-four percent, after seeing drops in September and October.
