As of January 1st, smoking is prohibited in all outdoor areas in Milan unless individuals are in isolated spaces at least 10 meters away from others. Violators will face fines ranging from 40 Euros approximately 45 U.S. Dollars to 240 Euros about 260 U.S. dollars. Electronic cigarettes are exempt from the ban.
