Exactly a month after declaring martial law, President Yoon is now facing arrest.
Will Yoon be arrested today?
We discuss more about his political fate with a legal expert, Mr. Joung Hwang.
Welcome back.
1. It looks like the investigation team is having a hard time arresting Yoon this morning.
Could they be there all day long? Is there a time limit as to how long they can stay there?
2. How long do you think they’ll stay there, speaking from a legal perspective?
3. Investigators are trying, but they are yet to fully execute the arrest warrant.
And in this case, the investigators haven’t even had the chance read Yoon his Miranda warning, is that the case?
4. Let’s say Yoon ends up being arrested.
This is where he goes to the detention center, and the CIO will have 48 hours to either seek another warrant for Yoon’s formal arrest for further detention or release him.
What will Yoon’s legal team try to do then?
5. More and more of Yoon’s supporters are making their way to the arrest site.
No clashes yet but if clashes do break out, will the supporters be held responsible?
What happens then?
Thanks so much for your time and your insight this morning.
We appreciate it.
