At least 18 Israeli troops were injured on Sunday in a drone attack by the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.
According to the Israel Defense Forces several drones were launched from southern Lebanon towards the northern Golan Heights.
Hezbollah for its part claimed that it targeted an Israeli military site in the area in response to Israeli strikes on Sunday morning.
Hours later Israel launched air raids on Hezbollah facilities in southern Lebanon.
The Iran-backed Hezbollah has reportedly been deploying explosive drones more frequently in recent times.
