The battery plant in Hwaseong City that lost 23 workers to a fire last week is believed to have been negligent in training its staff about safety precautions.
According to Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police workers at Aricell who witnessed the brutal blaze claimed they had not received any workplace safety training and were even unaware about the location of emergency exits.
Authorities have spoken to over twenty witnesses about the tragic incident as well as the factory’s overall operations.
