Heavy rain dies down, rain returns to the south at the end of week


Good afternoon. Jeollabuk-do Province saw more than 150 millimeters of rain overnight, and rain clouds have moved towards the east to Gyeongsang-do Province and expect to see heavy rain throughout the day. Meanwhile, rain has died down for rest of the country and rain alerts have been lifted.
However, a landslide alert remains in place, remember landslides can happen suddenly and without warning, so please stay on high alert and be safe today for those in Jeolla-do and Gyeongsang-do.
Meanwhile, afternoon temperatures should be 4 to 5 degrees higher this afternoon. Seoul and Daegu seeing a high of 31 degrees. The capital area started out under sunny skies but rain should return in the afternoon. Jeju and the south coast will be windy all day.
After a short break today, monsoon rain continues in southern parts of Korea through early next week while central regions will get spotty rain.
